Inside Beauty

Hello!

So today I'm going to be talking about the beauty that's inside and some other things that have been bothering me. Today, I found out that Olympic swimmer Rebecca Adlington had had a nose job after being taunted for years about her looks. She once admitted “Every day I look in the mirror and go, ‘God, I'm not pretty. I've got a very big nose’. Personally, I think it's horrible that even after winning four Olympic medals and being Britain's most successful swimmer people still feel the need to talk about her looks rather than everything she has achieved. I mean, and this qualifies for everyone, any perfections that we do have, we tend to know. We see ourselves in the mirror everyday and DON'T need other people to point them out to us. Honestly, I think she's beautiful. But, other people feel like they need to tell her she has a big nose, she's ugly, or even make a pathetic joke about her weight. Throughout 'I'm a Celebrity' last year she seemed so lovely and after all she's been through already why would you waste your time making fun of her?
Rebecca at Sony Radio Academy Awards 2013(I do not own the picture)
In 2008, Frankie Boyle caused disgrace on BBC2's 'Mock of the Week'. Yes, I understand that the point of the show is to 'Mock'(well, I haven't actually watched it) but to say "She looks like someone who’s looking at themselves in the back of a spoon.” and “The thing that nobody really said about Rebecca Adlington is that she looks pretty weird.'' is outrageous. Being famous, he must be looked up to and it's horrible to think someone saying things like that could be a role model to someone. Younger people could be watching him and thinking that that's what they need to say to be funny. Surely, being a comedian(a very controversial one indeed) he should be able to be funny without being offensive?

Anyway, I think that everyone is beautiful but that it only matters what's on the inside. Nobody deserves to be judged simply for their looks, if you're a good person then that should be all that matters.

Sample Review: L'Oreal Paris Elvive Extraordinary Oil

Hello everyone! Today I'm reviewing a sample I got from Marie Claire magazine.
It is the L'oreal Paris Elvive Extraordinary Oil
This is what it said on the little pouch:

From this, I wasn't quite sure how much to use as I couldn't really reuse it, yet I couldn't see why they'd put more than enough for once in a sample (I'm guessing the instructions were for the normal bottle). And well, '2 precious drops' isn't really a global measurement last time I checked?

In the end, I used all of it but focused more on the ends of my hair as I came to the end of the packet to avoid greasy hair (just in case). I used it after washing my hair and then let it air dry.

Wow. I was a little nervous that I might have to rewash it out, but its made a noticeably good difference in texture! My hair feels really smooth and for ages I couldn't stop running my fingers through it.

This is what my hair looked like after using it, though I don't think the pictures do the product justice.
After using this I am definitely considering purchasing the full size version of it. (Which is £8.49 at Boots)

(excuse my pajamas)

P.S because you're worth it ;)

The Daisies are Blooming!

Hello everyone! Have you noticed the daisies around? No, not the real ones the clothes.

Let me explain, daisies are my favourite flower because well you can make daisy chains, headbands and necklaces and well I just think they're really pretty flowers. So you can imagine that I'm pretty happy considering that I've been seeing daisy clothes and fashion everywhere! I mean tops, skirts, dresses, everything! I even saw some converse style shoes in New Look covered in them.
You can find all the shops and prices for these items on my Polyvore- http://www.polyvore.com/daisy/set?id=111545479
(^Which ones are your favourites?^)

So look forward to seeing some daisy inspired outfits coming up if you'd like that and please comment anything else you'd like to see on here.

January Favourites

So I've never really done this type of post before and I thought seen as its new year (ish) I would! If it works out I might start doing it every month(or at least when I have something to write about).
The first new thing I've been using is the Rinmel Wake Me Up foundation. I'd been using an Avon one for ages and its safe to say it's completely empty and that I was in need of a fresh foundation.
Rinmel Wake Me Up Foundation £8.99 @Boots
Wow. I didn't know what I was missing out on! This foundation really does make you look wide awake, I think it has particles(that look like glitter) inside it which reflect light to make you look really fresh like you've just washed your face (probably not the best comparison but I'm hoping you understand). Any way, it makes your skin look flawless. However, sometimes this can make you look a bit too glittery(if that can exist!) seen as there's not much light around in this weather. Overall, I don't know why I waited so long to jump on the bandwagon with this one and if you happen to be looking for a new high street foundation then I would definitely recommend trying this out.

Rinmel Stay Matte Powder £3.99 @ Boots
Next up is the Rinmel Stay Matte powder! I don't really have much to say about it but I mean I guess it's just your average powder. Works well and I can't really find anything to fault it on.

Bath and Body Works Vanilla Cupcake Hand Sanitizer, prices vary

This next thing is probably the one I'm most excited about, you've probably heard about them before and its the Bath and Body Works hand sanitisers. Eeeek! I was so excited when I received this in the post. Bath and Boday Works don't ship to the UK so I found a seller on Ebay. The scent(/flavour?) is Vanilla Cupcake and it leaves your hands smelling delicious. The cutest part about it is the holder which clips (well, links) onto your bag/belt/whatever. I got the lilac, glitter version and ooo I just love it so much. Definitely recommend.

Floral bag £9.99 @ Ebay
Next up is this bag I found on Ebay(new). As you may have guest I'm new to Ebay and I'm definitely liking it. To be completely honest, I had to scour Ebay to find it but I really like it and it makes me feel like spring is finally coming. It was a great price and I love the front pocket as it's big enough to keep a lot of things in however, it is the only pocket which can be annoying. It's quite thin material which means it's really light to carry which is great for school. I'm not sure how long it will last or how good quality it is but hopefully it will last. Altogether, at £9.99 I can't really complain to much.

Avon Plump Out mascara, price unknown(sorry)
This one is something I've used before and gone back to. It's the Avon plump out mascara and its really good for volume and separating your lashes. Mine is quite old but don't worry I've cleaned the brush so I can just use it on its own for now without getting an infection(yuck).

The Fault In Our Stars £3.85 on Amazon
I'm sure I don't need to talk to much about this considering my last post but it had to be said, The Fault In Our Stars!

Air Balloon by Lily Allen 99p on Itunes
The next favourite is a music favourite and its Air Balloon by Lily Allen. I've really been liking her voice after the John Lewis advert(although that might just be cause she was singing my favourite song...) and I couldn't help but listen to it on repeat when it showed up on my Youtube subscriptions. It always buts me in a happy mood for the day so listening to it when you wake up would be good, alarm clock maybe?

Flappy |Bird, free on app store
I don't think it needs talking about to much as you probably know all about it but Flappy Bird! I'm addicted...
( ^what's your high score?^ mine's 19 :l)

Dusky Pink, £1.99 @ Boots
The Natural Collection Blushes are actually the only blushes I wear. There so pretty and never give you clown's red cheeks look(living up to its name). I've seen a few people talking about them on Twitter as well so they might be becoming a 'thing'!

Frilly socks, £2.50/£4.00 @ River Island
Yes I know, its very overdue but I've really been loving frilly socks again and I think they'll be coming back again this year. Also, having small feet means I can buy them cheaper in the kids section haha! But, they're still sold quite expensive for socks so I might have to come up with a bit of a DIY?!

Murry Hiker Cuff Boots, £38 @ Topshop
I got these boots for Christmas and I love them so much. They're really comfy and I think they're leather as well. You can wear them up or folded down and I've been wearing mine down with frilly socks peeping over.

Creme Eggs, 3 for £1 most stores
Last but not least, Creme Eggs!!! I feel like its ridiculously early for these but they're my favourite and I can't lie. For some reason they always get me excited for my birthday as Easter's usually close to my birthday and I end up with them as presents(best present ever:) ).
