The fault in Our Stars

Hello there! What? No, I have not been locked away reading 'The fault in our Stars' and then scouring the internet for any information I could find on the film... If you haven't heard of this book already then um, where have you been? The book is about two teenagers who meet at a Cancer Support group and fall in love la di da. After seeing so many people online obsess about this little gem I thought 'why not?' it's safe to say I was pretty indecisive on whether or not to actually read it because I knew it would be sad, and it was. I read it in less than a week and by the time I reached the saddest part, I was all out of tears. Despite this, do NOT be put off reading it as it's also filled with funny and happy moments throughout.

I've come to the point in thinking that the author, John Green, is pretty much a genius. The main character, Hazel, is obsessed with a certain book of her own and has sent many letters to the author asking questions. Just by reading the book makes you relate as well reading it sure has made me want to meet John Green. This is the first book of his I've read and I will definitely be reading more very soon. The film is currently being made, and comes out on June 6th in America. It features Shailene Woodley and Ansel Elgort as the two main characters. I've seen a picture though and I have to say Hazel looks much more tomboy than I imagined, but I can't complain.

I always find that after reading a book or watching a great film I'm inspired by anyone involved. But lead actress Shailene Woodley sure has given everyone a reason to be inspired. She needed to cut her long locks for the role and whilst doing this, she has donated her hair to a charity that make wigs for children who suffer hair loss. She created a tumblr where she explained it all and I am just truly inspired. It takes so much courage to give up your hair and to help ill children is truly inspirational!

Thanks for reading,
