Mini Haul: Mini Egg Nails&Crochet Shorts.

Hello all! Long time no see(again!) but hopefully from now one I'll be posting more regularly. Today I have my second haul, I think my last one was in December so it's about time! After a lovely day watching the Muppets Most Wanted then having a look around the shops followed by a yummy hot chocolate I thought a great way to end to the day to do some blogging.

Collection Lasting Pefection Foundation- £3.99 +Boots UK
First up is the Collection Lasting Perfection Liquid Foundation, I ended up buying the powder as well and a concealer from the same brand. I first heard about it from someone who said its the only brand they can find 'the right shade in, though I have to say there wasn't that much choice in shades at the shop I was in. It claims to last 16 hours(!!!) which is quite a lot to be claiming in my opinion, so I'm hoping it lives up to expectations as that would be great.

Collection Lasting Perfection Powder-£3.99@Boots
Next is the powder, which is also claiming to last up to 16 hours, it comes with a sponge and mirror underneath which is handy. But, I feel like it may be a bit of a pain to keep flicking it to get the powder whilst looking what you're doing maybe?

Collection Illuminating Touch Concealer-£3.99@Boots
Okay so I'm not sure I can even type conceal(don't feel)er without bursting into Let it Go but here we go. I bought this as it reminds me of the Maybeline LumiTouch which I'm currently using. It has the same brush and twist end but was considerably less in price.

Models Own Nail Polish-£55.00@Boots
YAYYYYY! So this is probably my favourite out of the whole entire haul! Its basically a nail varnish which looks like mini eggs(yum) they have it in four other colours I think and its just so cute I cannot contain my excitement! I bought it in 'Dove' today(tempted as I was to get them all) and it's already on my nails. It's pink with black speckles and it literally looks like Mini Eggs.

Cami Top-£5.99@New Look
Okay so at the moment I have a slight obsession with camis(okay so I have three but still) and despite the somewhat gloomy weather I have been wearing them with cardigans. I wanted something a little plain so I could pair it with lots of stuff and the straps just add a little extra to it.

Crochet Shorts-£14.99@New Look
(sorryaboutthenowritingonpicturethingymylaptopisbeingcrazy)
I lovelovelove these shorts, they just make me think of summer when I look at them! They are so comfy and I can not wait to wear them. I've got my fingers crossed that they'll come out with some cream ones too.

Couple of extra pictures from today as well:)

The Daisies are Blooming!

Hello everyone! Have you noticed the daisies around? No, not the real ones the clothes.

Let me explain, daisies are my favourite flower because well you can make daisy chains, headbands and necklaces and well I just think they're really pretty flowers. So you can imagine that I'm pretty happy considering that I've been seeing daisy clothes and fashion everywhere! I mean tops, skirts, dresses, everything! I even saw some converse style shoes in New Look covered in them.
You can find all the shops and prices for these items on my Polyvore- http://www.polyvore.com/daisy/set?id=111545479
(^Which ones are your favourites?^)

So look forward to seeing some daisy inspired outfits coming up if you'd like that and please comment anything else you'd like to see on here.

P.S what's your favourite flower?

Confessions of a shopaholic...my first haul!

My names Emily and I'm a shopaholic. So today I'm writing my first ever hauuuullll...yay! Lets just say, I hadn't been shopping for a long time and I was pretty excited about getting everyone's presents so I maybe got a little over excited..

Before we get in to this let me just promise that I'm not in any way trying to show off or brag, that I don't get paid to do this and that everything was bought with my own money.

Selfridges. Okay, so when someone told me there's a Primark in the Selfridges where I was going I was pretty excited. But, I did expect it to be more than pyjamas and onesies(as much as I love them) so I guess you could say I was pretty disappointed when in a massive shop I could only find pyjamas in the Primark section. Nevertheless, I couldn't resist these super cute pjs and fluffy socks.
Both;£5 each. Primark at Selfridges.
I love the patterns on these shorts...but I did have one problem with these. In the shop, the extra small looked tiny so I went for small even though it said they're 10/12 which I'm not. But I soon realised they're too big. Oh well, there super comfy now!
The only differences I can find other than the patterns and colours are that the red top has a bit of a pattern on it that the grey doesn't. Also the ribbon on the checked pair doesn't tighten them but the other one's does.

£4, Primark at Selfridges.
Second up! I got these super duper cozy wozy bed socks. Don't they just make you think of Christmas?

They're not just bed socks, they're fluffy bed socks!

Body butter; £6.50(special price).
As I looked round body shop at the body butters I was mesmerised by the packaging of the ginger bread one. But, after smelling it I decided to opt for this Honey one.

It smells delicious and leaves your skin feeling nice and soft.

Over at H&M I finally started on my Christmas shopping.

T-shirt; £7.99
First of all I got this oversized tee which I couldn't really decide whether to get, but I got it. Seriously, it's MASSIVE but it's another comfy one and I love it.
Children's pyjamas;£5.99 each.
I also got these ickle pyjamas for my nieces to wear on Christmas eve. There so cute and can't wait to give them them.

Mini chocolate boxes; £1 each.

I managed to get half my friends prezzies in Superdrug but, just in case they read this I won't show them. But, how cute are these little chocolate boxes?

Story time, here it comessss! To try putting it short, whenever I even step near the Lush that's where I usually go shopping I get a headache as it's small, cramped and usually pretty busy. But, whenever I get Lush products off other people I LOVE them!! So, I managed to push myself into a different Lush store where I dipped into a couple of things.

Melting snowman bath melt; unknown.(sorry)

The first thing I got was this melting snowman man bath melt and I can't really comment on how good it is yet but it looks good and I'm looking forward to using it,

Penguin bubble bar; unknown(sorry).
The next thing I got was this penguin bubble bar and to be completely honest I forgot what it was when I used it. So, if you're looking for a good exfoliator it works for that too!

Lush is really good for presents as well because the bags have a little'to and from' bit on one side.

T-shirt;£10.
At River Island I was frantic looking for this grey Christmas t-shirt which I'd seen online. But it had been taken off the website so I was desperate to find it. Once I did though, I could not find a single size 8(or  6!) until I found this one which had no tag on it saying the size. I'm still not really sure what size this is as it's oversized and is pretty big anyway but it fits comfy. I won't show you properly but I'll hopefully do an OOTD with this included pretty soon.

I may of slightly kind of maybe just a bit needed a new mascara pretty urgently! I dont know what it is with mascaras but I always manage to either lose them or they'll go all sticky. So I popped into Boots to get some extras of things which are running out and I'm pretty impressed with all the things i bought.

Maybeline the colossal volume express;£7.99
This is the mascara I got this time, but to be honest I always get a different one as I'm never really happy with them but this is different.
I love the round brush as the curve makes it easy to get on your lashes without almost getting it on your eyelids and as for use it really spreads them out but without looking all clumped and yucky!

Maybeling Dream Lumi Touch; £6.99.
As for this concealer it's one of the best I've used personally. But, it did take me a while to realise you twisted the end to get it to come out the brush(that's probably 'cause I usually get stick concealers). Also, the writing seams to have worn off really easily considering I''ve had it since Saturday and it hasn't really been anywhere.

Maybeline Baby Lips; £2.99.
There was a three for one offer on all Maybeline products so I decided to get my first Baby Lips and I can't say I'm disappointed because it's AMAZING. I never really got onto the hype about them but they leave your lips sooo soft and even though I went for the plain one, it smells really nice too.
S&G Hand maid hand sanitiser ; £2.50
Yes, I am in love with 'soap and glory'. I have to have this hand sanitiser with me all the time, not even to keep clean but it makes your hands smell great. I think it has watermelon in it but you will literally want to eat your hands after using it.

Beanie; £7.50
Mad hatter? Or non hatter? Either way I'm loving my new beanie which says "Bad Hair Day..". I'm not really sure if I suit it but I think it's cute and it keeps my ears warm(pure fashion reasons).
CAAAKKKEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!! Take a look at these beautiful cupcakes I came upon in Selfridges food hall! I decided to treat myself to the oreo one and it was delicious.
Fancy a macaroon miss? I couldn't help but try one of the Christmas tree ones but as I soon found out, I'm sad to say I don't like macaroons. Yes, I know it sounds weird but they look so cute that I just wish that I did haha.

Wedges or Heels?

My first ever post on a blog(yay!). Today I'm going to talk about a question that comes into lots of people's minds in summertime (and all year round really). ..............
Heels         or            Wedges?
Personally I find wedges much more comfier than heels when it comes to a summer shoe to wear at a garden party or bbq outside. But, they can look abit too casual and out of place at a family meal, party or night out.

As a child, I think we all admired the stiletto heels we sore our mums, favourite pop stars and even our barbie dolls wearing. Even Cheryl Cole has admitted that there's something about wearing heels which makes you feel like a lady( read it in a magazine). All this aside, when it comes to everyday life not many of us are prepared to walk around on our feet all day in six inch heels which make our feet look ugly and unloved by the time we fall asleep.

So the answer is to wear comfy flats or trainers right? Nope! Tall or short, well actually more if your short(like me!) there is a huge desire to be taller, see over people's heads and not have to tip-toe or jump to see you favourite band in concert after paying for your ticket and waiting months to go to.

Sure, in normal days a pair of comfy vans or converse or sandals and flip-flops in the warmer months are fine and the lack of height doesn't bother most. Either-way,at party's, shopping with friends or having a family-get-together it's not fun to tip-toe in pictures so you seem average height.

The answers simple really. Wear heels or wedges! But the answer to that is much harder. I mean which one?

Wedges: the comfy, easy to balance, summery all-round good shoe.

Or heels: the grown-up, barbie-doll shoe which makes your feet ache.

In my opinion, definitely wedges(simply for comfort) but wearing bohemian style summer shoes with tights and an LBD to a movie premier(I wish) or just an evening meal can look pretty strange and I assure you you'll receive a few weird looks off your fans(okay okay friends, family members and strangers).

After all this you must have a lot to think about if you have problems with being small or not as tall as you'd like to be( though there's nothing wrong with being smaller) flats and trainers are still perfectly fine and I'd recommend both more than anything else I think.

And as it relates so much to this post here is some pictures of my new wedges which I will be wearing to my nieces christening.

Disco Pants: Love or Hate?!?!

Okay, so I thought I'd write about disco pants, I'm aware that many people DON'T like these, and that many people LOVE them. Oh, and of course many people don't even care (*go with the flow*) .Whatever your opinion I just thought I'd tell you about(whether you know or don't)them, where they came from, and what I think of them ( you'll have to wait 'till the end : P  hehe).

'Birth' of the Disco Pants
Although not very commonly known, according to fashion experts disco pants were first seen in the late 1960's in San Francisco.

Where We've Seen Them
Now think back, before the outburst of them in this decade where have we seen them before? GREASE! If you haven't already caught on, I don't mean the country I'm talking about the film/musical/legend. Now Sandy(Olivia Newton-John) is pretty famous for her skin tight leather(or leather look, I'm not quite sure to be honest) trousers that she wore in the film and looking back through all the amazing decades of fashion, beauty and everything else that me and everyone my age didn't live through ( *pause for sad moment* * randomly cheers up*) I don't think anyone else is particularly known for them. Of course, even in the early 1900's it was frowned upon to even show your ankles as a woman, so skin tight trousers weren't really an option as a fashion statement, dya think? Back into the 60's/70's I'm sure we can imagine 70's and 80's people(or YOU  if you were one) i.e., the disco era) wearing skin tight, shiny pants! They came into fashion late 70's/ early 80's and then I guess they just disappeared along with the neon tutus and tank tops.

What Are They?
Disco pants are tight-fitted trousers mind out of spandex, polyester, Lycra etc. They often include two back pockets, a front zip or a button at the front(or all). They were made like this in the disco era as they could cling to the body and reflect the light whilst people were dancing.

Fashion News
These trousers have recently popped out of no where(well, I guess someone started wearing them first) and suddenly everyone seems to be wearing them! I noticed Jessie J wore a gold pair with leopard print on The Voice in one of the series.

My Opinion/Views
Just to bring up bloggers, Zoella or Zoe, has worn them for quite a while. After seeing hers, I really liked the idea of strechy, trousers, leggingsy type pants(<-don't like that word for some reason). I had already seen them before of course but didn't really like the ones which were just shiny leggings(though they still look great on other people) I preferred the idea of shiny leggings with a button, a zip, some pockets and just thought they'd be great as comfy jeans/leggings which weren't either and weren't jeggings. I looked online at Topshop as I think that's where Zoe's are from(she has some from American Apparel I think too) and I honestly just really liked them (ps check out her blog and YouTube channel, they're both great). But at £30 I didn't want to pay that much for something I wasn't sure whether I'd  be wearing or not! So if you're anything like me you'll know just how happy I was when I noticed them in the sale at half price(yay!)

I started wearing them and I cant explain how much I love them they're just so comfy and mine are black so they pretty much go with everything, I would recommend these to anyone as they are just so amazing to wear and the first time I wore them I couldn't stop wondering how they were so so so soft to touch.

Disclaimer: I don't own any of these pictures and all opinions are mine.

OOTD!- Summer Playsuit!

Today I'm wearing a floral playsuit with a ruffle round the top and buttons to the top. It's really loose so great for days which are abit warmer! I got it in Matalan for £10 but when I found it I wasn't quite sure but I soon changed my mind after trying it on.

I know this isn't much of an 'outfit of the day' seen as its just one piece but I just really wanted to write about it because its so comfy and really summery!

It's really good in the holidays if you're going swimming or to the beach because you can just slip it off if you've got a swimming costume underneath. It's also really good if you can't really be bothered to pick out a full outfit in the morning(ie everyday!)

I would definitely recommend getting this as I loveeee it and I have literally been living in it and I really want to go to Primark or somewhere to get more playsuits for summer!
